Greetings all.

I have just purchased a brand new Samsung PS50A550S1F plasma screen.

The picture is beautiful, but when I hook up external devices through it, the input volume seems to be a lot lower.

I have a Panny BD-30 hooked up to it via HDMI, but my DVD player is also having the same issue.

Being that the DVD recorder AND bluray player are having the same issue, Im suspecting that perhaps the Samsung plasma has an adjustable input volume somewhere, but cant seem to find a legit reason why there should be such a huge difference in outputted volume in tv mode vs external device.

Any ideas?

presumably you are using the tv to output audio? In my older Sammy, though I don't use it, there is a setting in the "sound" portion of the menu. Did you try auto volume?

If that fails, you may wanna exchange you set for another one.
