Hi,


Trying to find the right 40" TV for myself, basically looking for around the $1500 mark but I require a QAM tuner (want a very clean install without any additional boxes).


I cannot understand why none of the Samsung models have QAM tuners. I mean low end Vizio models, all the Sony >40", LG's, JVC's, etc.. all have QAM tuners on most models.


Am I missing something why Samsung doesn't put QAM tuners in their sets? It is such a show stopper for me.

He said "none of the Samsung models have QAM tuners." Just pointing out that that is not a correct statement. Sorry if you can't find one. They seem to be pretty common around here.

Well I stand corrected, that the 96 series does have a QAM tuner. But all the other series from Samsung do not have a QAM tuner. I am trying to comprehend a reason behind this, so many low end brands have QAM tuners built in.. why not Samsung?
