What do you folks think?

KGTV says they've only counted 46 viewers of their digital signal? I think I've seen more posts about them than that here. I guess they don't have a presence here like KFMB does (or did, I haven't seen anything from BlueWire in a while). And speaking of KFMB, it's interesting that the article forgets to mention that CBS does have a good bit of primetime programming. And as far as revenue generation goes, if we have enough money to buy HD equipment we should be a pretty attractive group for advertisers.

Seems to me that we need to make more noise. We need to let these stations know that we are out here watching them. Hell, I've watched more CBS in the past few weeks since I got HD than I had in the previous couple of years.

So speak up. Post here and send messages to the stations. I'm going to send yet another email to KGTV and point them in this direction.

I think that you are right-on topic regarding the fallacies of the viewer counting by KGTV. I also think it is important that in addition to the stations hearing from us we should let the author know about the truths of the state of HDTV broadcasting in San Diego, especially the availability of programming, which is severely missrepresented in the article.

I have a somewhat parallel thread in the HDTV Programming area,

mainly because I think the issues in the article go beyond San Diego.
