I have an hd100 set up for Direct TV and OTA. My OTA

antenna is a rooftop combination UHF/VHF and the analog reception on VHF is marginal (noisy picture).

My digital OTA reception level is generally very good (>80 on the meter), but when it is windy the signal drops out quite a bit on most digital channels. The dropouts show as momentarily unlocked on the meter bar. My antenna is on a 5 foot mast at the

peak of the roof clamped in two places to the eaves and doesn't appear to be moving in the wind. This afternoon I connected an amplified loop (next to the receiver) and it experienced the same dropouts on the same stations.

Can anyone venture a guess? Sound like an hd100 problem, or do I just need to raise the rooftop antenna?

I am located in the flatlands of SanJose,CA and the antenna is pointed toward Sutro tower. I have noticed that stations 29.1 and 19 seem to be more sensitive and, if I recall correctly, they are located lower on the transmission tower.

Thanks in advance...
