Greetings.

Just got my HT30744. I have been very happy with the picture quality. HOWEVER, I am getting some loud plastic buzzing noise when TV is playing bassier sound notes. Has anyon else experience this? Is there a quick fix or shall I just go exchange it? Thank god for Walmart exchange policy.

Thanks in advance

The Sanyo 32 I played with at Walmart had the same issue, probably poor design on the speaker mounting techiques inside the plastic case. Other lower cost TVs do the same very often as I have a "cost effective" 27 inch philips that "hums" with increased sound. THe only fix I know of is turn down the bass and/or volume or simply use a separate surround sound setup...

Thank you for the reply. I guess that is reassuring that other TV's do the same. I would hate to drag that back to Walmart if others have the same issue. It's not really a huge issue until I really crank up the volume. I took your advice and turned the bass down. Alternatively, I can also invest some money on better external speakers.

I absolutely LOVE my 32 inch Sanyo, from Wal-mart (until I get a 50 inch Plasma, then the Sanyo will be moved into the bedroom).

BUT, I too, have had speaker buzzing.

Only was a problem for a few weeks, until my new AV receiver arrived, now the TV sound is permanantly turned off.

Sad to see manufactures move away from the tube TV, because the PQ is just fantastic!

Well, I can't stand the buzzing anymore. I am returning the tv tomorrow. I am really surprised not too many people are complaining about this. I presume most of you are using this along with AV setup but I am running this in my bedroom and do not want all the av stuff. On a side note, the tv is now $649
