Sanyo PLV70 or IF7200 Final Quest

372 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  J.Mike Ferrara
I will be buying a projector this month and I have narrowed it down to a few including the Sanyo PLV-70. At this point in time for about 4500 buck do you guys think is a good buy?

I have heard that it has some problems. Can someone who has the projector identify some of the issues that it has? I am looking to see if I can live with some of them and if they have been solved in newer production versions.

How does it compare to the IF7200 and the HT1000. I know that the IF7200 is worth more but iif it can handle some ambient light I might go for that one as well.

Regardless, there seem to be some mixed feelings about the Sanyo although reviews have been great for the most part. Also, feel free to throw in any other projector bellow 7K that might suit a room with some ambient light.

One final question is that the Sanyo is DVI and the IF7200 is DVI?HDCP. Should I be concerned about this? What is the difference?

Thanks in advance to all who help me in this quest.

Can anyone that has looked at both advice me on which one to go with? I hear about more problems witht he Sanyo and none for the IF72000 but then again more people probably have the Sanyo because of its price.
