I did not make my choice yet. Both are same for me by technical specifications. (DVI interface is not important for me). I can purchase Sanyo right now, but I'm in doubt now. Should I wait new Panny in my dealer store? Are there any big differences between both projectors? AFAIK screendoor effect is much worse on Z1... isn't it?

Does anybody already use new Panny?

Does anybody compare these projectors?

The Panny is great but it does not allow 1:1 pixel mapping from a PC. The Z1 on the other hand allows 1:1 pixel mapping very easily. The smooth screen technology on the Panny works very well and there is no screendoor to talk about. The horizontal and vertical lens shift on the Z1 is very useful. These are points that immediately come to mind...

Thanks.

1:1 pixel mapping does not matter for me.

Component/Svideo DVD picture quality is more importantly.

And I see there is one more projector with same specs - Panny PT-L300U. Is it old model? Does it have noticeable difference from AE300 or Z1?

I know it's been posted before, but I thought the only difference b/t the Panny AE-300 and L300U is the US model designee vs the Japanese model.

Exact same projector spec wise.

Can someone confirm?
