Hi!

I got he 2910 today. I must really say that the PQ is excellent. BUT the player will not fill my LCD display entirely! It must be the same bugg as in the 1910, i.e. the overscan issue. This make me very sad and upset. I read about a norwegian guy on this forum with the same equipment and he didn't seem to have any problems.

The funny thing is the player fills the screen when you have no disc in or pressed stop. (if you have chosen the denon picture you can see this). It makes me wonder.

I also notice that when there are ponorama shots or the camera moves a lot sideways or up/down the 2:2 pull down is ****ed up. I tried both auto1 and 2 without succes. Any suggestions?

Anyway, I think I will keep this player and hope for a fix shortly. So please report your problems or settings you have on this combo over DVI.

Thanks

/Sam

Hello svh (again  ),

Well seems we 2 are the only one with a Z2 and 2910  . I spent a couple of hours last night trying to calibrate with DVE PAL and NTSC.

At 720p there are no problems running NTSC, however PAL discs is a problem at this resolution. In addition I could get better blacks on NTSC than on PAL. This was also the case with my HK25.

Final solution is to run PAL discs in 1080i to avoid the problems at 720p (not running at 50hz). And buy mostly Region 1 disks as this gives 720p resolution and better picture (in my eyes) and is cheaper as well :D .

I'm pretty sure the problems lies with the Z2 and not the 2910.

Try going to "SET" in your picture adjustments and adjust the H & V position.
