Sanyo Z4 with lazy lens shift problem

963 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  kallyn
Hi there, I have my Z4 set up in my basement shining on to a 106" Greywolf.

I have been very happy with the unit overall, but am now dealing with a rather annoying habit the unit has recently developed. It seems that the lens shift for vertical shifting slowly drifts down...meaning that over the course of a day or two, the image on the screen is 2" to 3" lower than it should be. I have tried using the lock function on the side to stop this to no avail. This is not a huge deal, as I just dial it back up again, but it seems wrong that the unit does this.

Has anyone else found the same issue? Thanks in advance

The slab or foundation in the basement isnt cracking is it ?
Just Kidding !

Call Sanyo and see what they suggest if they have a remedy since I have no clue to what could be causing this. I have inadvertently left my Z5 unlocked a few times and have not experienced this drift.

Let us Sanyo owners know what you find out ?

I have the same problem on my Z2.
This has been covered before, probably on page 32,003. You can try adjusting it and then backing off the wheel to where it's loose, i.e. before it starts to adjust the other way and then locking it. Having said that, it seems mine still drifts minimally, but not very much with this method.

My Z5 has started doing this and it is annoying but will try the method above and see what happens. Only 285 hours on projector.
