My Z5 has a little less than 2k hours on it. The lamp indicator light started blinking and the unit would not turn back on. The only way to get the projector to turn back on was to open it and press the internal 'reset?' button. I also reset the lamp counter. The unit worked for several more weeks. Now each time I try to turn it on the lamp light is blinking and the internal reset switch has flipped, so I must open and reset, even thought the lamp counter is less than 100 hours. My question is does this sound like I just need a new lamp, or is it something else? I don't want to spend $200 on a lamp and find it is another issue.

How often have you cleaned the filters? The internal reset is actually a thermal safety, which means it is probably getting over heated from a lack of air flow.

My Z5's last lamp went for almost 5000 hours.
