Sat c Alignment help asap

271 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  michael goldman
Have an installer here. Question on aligning. Do Sat c and b have to share the same transponder. When you tell the Sat box you have Sat C LNB it doesn't give you a third signal strength meter. How do you align. We are using 3 round dishes

thanks in advance

You can get more details on this by checking the other posts here on "Sat C" but the basic idea is that the special Sat C LNB transforms the frequencies of the transponders on the 110 satellite down to slots that aren't used on 119. That way, when the two LNBs are combined on one lead and your STB sees a bunch of new 119 transpoder signals (which are actually coming from the 110 bird) in slots that used to be blank.
The signal meter for Sat B (B=119) becomes the meter for both B & C (C=110). To allign for C, select transponder #'s 8, 10 & 12.
Thanks

Have it up and running, or maybe that should be walking from the tone of some of the negative showtime threads

Thanks again
