I have my HD100 in place, but the OTA and HD satellite pointer (pointer is a technical term) will not be installed until this weekend. Let's keep in touch as we progress with this. Where are you in this progression?

I got my HD100 at Audio King in Minnetonka about two weeks ago.

Got one !!!! Audio King in Rosedale will have one for me in 4 days out of their Denver warehouse. I saw an Andy at the above number in Roseville. They are very knowledgeable on HDTV and gave me a great demo ... I saw in their computer 39 available out of 115 and they are going very, very fast.

I also would like some feedback from a few locals

that have had the DTC-100 and purchased a new Sony or

other as to what you think,

Again as compared to the DTC-100

Let's just hope all this snow melts

so we can get that tower work completed.

Diode -- Can't you see the tower site from **** Rapids? If not, you are closer than I am, so go up there every few days and keep us posted.

I went there a week ago and talked to several sales reps who hadn't seen one yet and said the store hadn't received any.

I did see the one in Roseville this week.

I still wasn't impressed with the On-Screen Guide. Also noticed the HD channels don't appear in the "media window" in the upper left corner of the guide.

I purchased the Panasonic TU-HDS20 to replace an RCA DTC-100. I would have to say that the picture quality is better across the board compared to the DTC-100. I noticed a lot of the channels on the DTC-100 had a "soft" look to them, kind of blurry. I am not noticing this with the Panasonic. Not to mention the HD is better since I have a Panasonic TV which wasn't 100% compatible with the DTC-100, and gave me rainbow lines at the top of the HD channels. This is fixed using the TU-HDS20.

Todd,

Thanks for your feedback.

I find that on my diamond Mit's it looks very good.

Yes I can see the tower,

Not a good thing as most people can get ABC channel 50

I can not get a lock as their temp tower at the midway is

somewhat pointed south.

So I only have UPN-PBS.

I have from time to time gotten a lock of 35-39 on 50 from my dtc

and that is even a worse case as I get a taste of the ABC HD

and the darn fade outs just kill me so I gave up.

At this point I do not care what the neighbors think,

when the snow melts I placing a big antenna up.

Nice neighborhood here and not many antenna's but

this just sux's,

So yes every night I can look out my east window and see those red

blinking lights a top the tower in the distance and think what

this past winter could have been with some real HD content.

Fingers crossed for this spring

I just installed my new HD100 with the dual lnb dish ... the dish was a piece of cake! I have heard so many horror stories, but, I followed the instructions and it got both satellites ... now my issues ...

1) The fan - Wow! All the equipment I have, noisier than any computer I own.

2) Can receive PBS an UPN, but no ABC channel 50. Can't get it!

3) The guide is cut-off top and bottom slightly.

Other than that, I love HDTV. Watching the Sopranos was awesome ...

Channel 50 is operating from a temporary location at a lower power than "normal". Right now their transmitter is on their old tower at University and 280, but once they move to the new Shoreview tower (this summer, supposedly) their power will be increased.

This should be around the same time WCCO 32 (4), and possibly KARE 35 (11) and WFTC 21 (29), begin transmitting.

You're not missing much on KSTP 50, unless you are a 'NYPD Blue' fan. Some Saturday and Sunday ABC movies are HD, but it's hit or miss as to whether KSTP 50 will show them in HD. So far nothing on channel 50 has been Dolby Digital 5.1.

I'm guessing once they go to full power the story will change.
