SATIN & EGGSHELL PAINT MIXED

I tried a mixture of about 70/30 EGGSHELL/SATIN. It works. I can tell you that the paint has more of a sheen than satin, but is just below the hotspot level. I'm using a DLS8 projector ceiling mounted. I'm curious what would happen if I tinted the paint with a very light grey. Anyway, it's worth looking at. The paint really provides a boost over flat paint. Definetely better.

I have used Behr "ultra pure white" flat and Home Depot converted it to Behr "gray tropics".

It looks great!

To the naked eye it looks white but when compared with a white primer, it looks like a very light gray.

What projector do you have?(how many lumens) Did it lower the brightness much?

For about a 1.3 gain(crt)ultra pure white????is this correct,do we prime first,

mercury, I believe the 1.3 gain is the BEHR ULTRA PURE WHITE in and EGGSHELL finish, not flat. Flat is ~1.0 gain. I mixed a bit of satin in with eggshell, I came out good. I first tried satin by itself, but it was too shiny, especially since I used a roller which gives a bit of texture. Funny enough, it looked very similar to the Dalite 2.5 gain screen I tried, but sent back (i.e. texture & too shiny)
