N E 1 know if this has this been confirmed? We've seen previous announcements by ABC re HD broadcasts that turn out to be BS at the last minute.


Also, they are promoting it as 'uncut'. Does that mean no commercial interuptions or just no content editing?

In short - yes SPR will be uncut and 5.1. Do a search and you'll find several threads on SPR.

As for the no commericals, I dont believe this is true. On that Excite page it lists it as 205 minutes, and the movie itself runs 170. So there will be relatively few commercials, but they will still be there, it seems.

Our Miami ABC affiliate, WPLG-10, does not list a movie for Nov. 11th or Nov. 18th on their HD webpage, though they list one for Nov. 25th. We probably won't be seeing "Saving Private Ryan" in HD next Sunday...in fact, we may not see it at all.
