Recently read a review of the Audigy at Digit Life http://www.digit-life.com/articles/a...ex/index.html. I couldn't believe that the measured % THD for the rear channels is almost 60x (!)better than that of the front channels
. The % THD of the front channels is also worse than the front channels of the Live!5.1 and Live! For the Live!5.1 and Live!, the %THD for the rear channels are also significantly better than their respective front channels. The reviewer recommends:
"So, for listening to music through analog-outs in a stereo mode on the SB Live!/Live!5.1/Audigy card it is better to use a rear-out and set the 4-speaker mode where the rear doubles the front."
That's pathetic. Are these cards really so poorly designed? And after 3 years of designing Live! cards, couldn't Creative improve this parameter on the front channels of their new line of Audigy cards?
