hi there,

I did multiple searches on this topic, but didn't quite find what I was looking for.

I was all set on picking up the new Denon AVR-990, but have an opportunity to grab a Pio SC-05 for $800 or so. One of the features I liked on the Denon was Audyessy...in particular the "Dynamic Volume" feature which I understand "normalizes" the volume automatically, whether it be movies, tv etc.

I know the PIO has a THX Loudness feature...is this similar to Dynamic Volume? If I'm watching cable tv, will the Pio's feature normalize listening volume too? Or is that really only found within the Audyssey implementation?

Many thanks
