I have an older scaler(Immersive Symetry, does not output 1080P) but does do vertical stretch and would like to temperarily use it with the RS1, but have a couple of questions please.
If I input 1080i ( from SD or HDDVD) and output 1080I to the RS1( and let the gennum in the RS1 do the deinterlacing, am I doing double scaling or causing any other issues?
If I input 480i SD dvd and let the scaler out put 1080i to the RS1 does it deinterlace then scale then interlace to get to 1080i then output that to the RS1.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated
