I used Powerstrip to configure my Radeon 8500 AIW to output 1024x576, 60 Hz, in order to send a 16x9 signal that my NEC LT260k (1024x768 DLP projector) could display without re-scaling it. However, whenever I switch to this resolution, the LT260k does some kind of horrible rescaling that shrinks the picture down to a very distorted, half-size 4x3 window, even if I set it to "native" signal resolution mode or force it to "widescreen" aspect ratio. In order to get a usable image, I've been using a 1280x720 format on my HTPC/Radeon and letting the LT260k scale it down to a widescreen 1024x576.
How can I get my LT260k to accept a 1024x576, 60 Hz signal from its VGA input ("RGB1") without rescaling it?
