I have a Sony DVP-CX985V connected through a Psyclone component switchbox. Also on the switchbox are PS3, Xbox360 and my older original XBox.
When the Sony is powered on, I get a wide vertical bar scrolling horizontally across the screen when viewing the PS3, XBox, etc. Turn the Sony off, the bar goes away.
One further bit of info - this only seems to happen when using PS3/XBox, etc in 480i mode. 720p and 1080i do not show this problem. (Of course, most of the PS2 and XBox games are in 480i, so the problem comes up quite a bit).
I know the most logical answer is "Turn off the Sony when not using it", but I would like to figure out what is causing it.
Ideas?
