I was wondering... After reading posts here I see where viewing 4:3 for extended periods of time will have ill effects on the display. Do I need to worry about the same effects when watching Letterbox DVD's?
Moderation is the key here. Just vary the Aspect Ratio of the selected DVDs. Watch one 2:35 DVD followed by one 1:78 DVD and so on. Occasional 4:3 viewing is okay as well. Enjoy and don't worry too much.
What the main issue as far as burn in is simple: what ever part of the screen that isn't being used (black bars) will eventually seem "brighter" than the other parts of the screen.
