My screen is flashing (like the brightness briefly is increased) when I play live TV (or recorded TV) through Win 7 MC.

The flashing does not happen when I connect the TV directly to the outlet.


Has anybody else seen this? Is there a fix? It seems to happen only with HD channels.

If you have an ATI video card, disable the dynamic contrast option in CCC. NVidia, should have a similar option but the only NVidia card that I've had in the last 5 years got returned within two days so I'm not sure.

vladd, I turned off dynamic contrast, and that did the trick! No flashing anymore!
