Screen Recommendation

483 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Craig Peer
Looking for a 120-125" screen to pair with my JVC NX7. I have 100% control of the lighting in a dedicated HT room. However, I do occasionally want to watch with some lights on so need to factor that in. All seating is directly in front of my screen but would also like about 30 degrees off axis viewing if my kids sit in a bean bag chair off center. Looking at a Dark Energy Pulsar or SI 1.2 Slate. What else should I be considering to meet my criteria? I do not need an AT screen. Looking for the best possible picture, brightness, black levels, etc.

If you have a dedicated light controlled room, why not a white screen ? Put your lights on dimmers - a white screen still can look good even with a little light in the room at times, and looks the best with no light. Gray screens in my opinion never look as good except maybe with some light on. But why compromise when watching movies in the dark ? I sometimes have lighting on at my wife's request watching HDTV with out Stewart Cima Neve. It still looks good.
Thanks, so which Stewart Screen? 100?

The ST100 won't work with any light on. Here are screen shorts of HDTV on my Stewart Cima Neve -
