My stage will be in the alcove in the front of the theater shown.

It will be the width of the alcove and protrude outwards from it.

The screen wall will be in the alcove on the stage set about 1 foot back from the front of the alcove.

Screen wall will essentially only be a base plate, top plate and double studs on each side as the screen will be the full width of the alcove.

Should I carpet before or after the screen wall.

I am thinking before, then the carpet under the speakers behind the screen can absorb some sound.

This will also give me opportunity to adjust the location of the screen wall a bit if needed.

Opinions?

I thought there might be a benefit to having carpet under the speakers.

Big,

Is it just raw stage behind your screenwall?

I laid my scraps of linacoustic there for safe keeping.

I like the idea of carpeting the whole stage. It gives some flexibility for the future.
