Looking for input on the best way to mount the screen. Mount it to the wall, or hang it from the ceiling..

The screen is 80x45 on a 1x4 frame, built the long way (so there is 3.5" of depth to the frame).

My main concerns are vibration from the sub. I can dampen that if mounted to the brick wall, but will hanging cause any problems (doubt it will)

Pros and cons of each would be great. Thanks!

Hello,

Mounting to the wall has one advantage; you can adjust the mount to ensure the screen is perfectly planar (flat), and free of warps. Mounting to the brick does bring it's own set of issues (adjusting to compensate where the mortar is for attach points, etc), plus the brick itself may not have been laid perfectly. Furring strips attached to the wall, then secondary attach points on the furring strip for the screen itself (and maybe plan for the capacity to adjust the depth of the mount points for the screen) should fill the bill.

Hope this helps!
