I finally hit the dreaded day when my SE20HD bulb burned out. While searching the web and making a few calls to order a replacement assembly (should arive on Wednesday), I came across these guys: jopprugroup . They claim to have "proprietary methods and processes to remanufacture projector lamps...for approximately half the price of a new unit."


Has anybody tried these guys and/or have an opinion on this? Personally I like the idea (and I'm considering sending my original assembly to them for a spare), though I have to admit to being a bit concerned about a remanufactured lamp assembly. They claim to use all new parts - though I wouldn't know how to independantly verify that claim (aside from the looking for obvious wear).


Any thoughts?

Gordon Groff has shipped his 20HD lamp to them for remfr. He has not yet posted back his results.

I have one in my PLV-70 with about 300 hours on it now. Seems to work just like having bought a new one. Cannot tell any difference other than the turnaround time to get the bulb and the much lower price.
