imdb lists "Seabiscuit" as 2.35:1.

Audio is DD5.1

I only watched the first 5 (free) minutes, so I can't say what method they used to fit it in a 16x9 window.

Nonetheless, not OAR.

I compared the DVD to the first part of the movie on DirecTV, and it is definitely cropped on DirecTV. There is a wide shot near the beginning where Chris Cooper rides up on his horse and on the DVD you can clearly see a snow covered mountain on the left side of the screen that has been cropped out of the DirecTV version. Anyway, despite being zoomed/cropped the picture on the DirecTV version is very sharp.

I have the DVD from NETFLIX but haven't watched it. I was waiting for the PPV which I was willing to pay for. However since it is cropped, I will settle for the DVD. Dumb D*** lost a sale.

You can't tell me that people who have the equipment and desire to pay for a single movie in HD don't prefer OAR.
