Hello... I am new member but have used the AVSforum to confirm on my choice of Projectors and etc.

It is a good forum with lots of advice and tips that I just can't get anywhere.....

I recently came across a movie I have been desperately waiting for Amazon to stock ( assummed it anybody has it, amazon will have it). Movie title is HIMALAYA, L'ENFANCE D'UN CHEF (Caravan)

However I have seem some copies but am confused. Some sites say it is no longer avialalbe, whilst others say it has not even been published as yet, whilst a few more state is as being available.

Can anyone help...I'd like an English version with DD5.1 or DTS and the best picture option. It seems like there are a many out there, especially in French DTS version....

Have a look at this :

Eksohek,

Welcome to AVS, my friend.

I have the R2 french DVD released by editions montparnasse. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an english track (nor english subtitles), only a DD 5.1 and DTS french track and the DD 5.1 original track subtitled in french.

I know you can find many versions of this flick in benelux.

Some have no 5.1 track and no bonus features at all and a very poor PQ.

The french release has a making of (26 min), a documentary, 2 trailers, 1 videoclip (5.1) and a commentary from Eric Valli, Jacques Perrin and Bruno Coulais.

Hope it helped!
