Was at the mall, dropped into Sears to look at their lcds and plasmas, they had like 15 different LCD tvs and only 2 plasmas (which looked deeper and more detailed than the lcds, a Panny and Sony). Is this warped ratio common in most other electronic stores? Seems like the "short life, chance of burn-in" plasma myth will never die, if uninformed sales people keep it going. If most stores now have similar plasma/lcd ratios is it because LCDs are cheaper and therefore more likely to sell?
