Alright,

I live in the city, but I have a second place of residence 100 miles away in the country. In the city I have Dish Network. I'd like to set up Dish Network in the country.

I've been told I can install a dish and a receiver, then I only have to transport the card back and forth between city and country. Is it very difficult to set up a system like this? What exactly do I need?

Will Dish Network be willing to come and install the second dish and receiver? I've been told they'd rather you buy a second subscription, but that is what I'm trying to avoid.

Thanks.

It's highly unlikely you are going to get a Dish installer to cooperate with this plan. (At least not during regular working hours) If you read your subscription contract, it's for service to one party at one address, period. Unless your second home is an RV, you're probably best off hiring an independent contractor to install the dish antenna and cabling at your second residence and transport your entire receiver between locations. The satellite providers do poll their boxes via phone or internet to ensure they are where they are supposed to be, although follow though with that information seems to be weak at best, so as long as you return your receiver to its registered home and reconnect the phone/internet, once a month or so, you should be fine.
Have you tried Satellite Guys http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/forums/dish-network-support-forum.10/
or dbstalk for ideas? http://www.dbstalk.com/forum/6-general-dish%E2%84%A2-discussion/
