It would depend on the driver to be used beneath it, CD used, etc..

Are you referring to the throat transition on the 3d model? I doubt that is present on the actual horn.

yes, and why not, i.e. why is it in the model?

Because I've not seen them do that with any of their horns. Those models are approximations from what I've seen.
