I will soon be hooking my Replay to the new Sony HD DirecTv receiver. I know I can use the blaster, but the serial port seems to be a more elegant and efficient solution.


Does anyone know if the port on the replay will talk to the port on the Sony?

Nope, HD300 uses serial command set that is different than what the replay supports.


Call replay (DNNA) and ask them to support the newer serial command set for directv recievers. If we get enough calls in maybe they will. Til then the replay only supports the first generation serial command set. =(
