I've got a 610Pro. I haven't done this in ages, but I'm pretty sure you turn the TV on, set it to Input 1 and then if you open the front panel right between the Return and Volume buttons there is a small hole. Stick a pin or end of a paperclip in the hole and you will press a button to activate the service mode.
I've got a service manual for it somewhere. I know I downloaded it off the net so if you do some searching you may be able to find one somewhere. Of course this was probably 4-5 years ago, so who knows....
I'm actually getting rid of my 610 and moving to the new Samsung HLT6187S (hopefully to arrive next week). The lack of HDMI inputs on the 610 was killing me. Good Luck with your calibration!
