JasonNY was nice enough to post this method of accessing the Service Menu on the FH70HH96, but it does not work on my unit.:

To reset the HDMI ports due to light intrusion:

"Turn the TV on, and enter the Service Menu. Select 2 for Self Check. Then turn the TV off, and after the fan turns off, unplug the power cord. Reconnect the power cord, turn the TV on, and the HDMI port is reenabled."

-------------------------------------------->WARNING

TO ENTER THE SERVICE MENU, PRESS THE SLEEP TIMER, AND WHILE THE TIMER IS ON "0"MIN, PRESS THE DISPLAY AND THE VIDEO STATUS AT THE SAME TIME.

Does anyone know another method of accessing the service menu, as my HDMI ports are "out"

It may be that you are pressing the wrong "timer" button. I did for bit.

Press the button labeled "Sleep" in the upper right below the power button on the JVC controller. I tried the "Timer" button for a while and that's not right.

The "Sleep" button will do what is required above.
