Ok, I am now set on buying a Pentium 3 but I have not determined which MB I should use. I am looking at the following MB:

Alton A641A

ECS P6VXA - Socket 370

Biostar M6VCF Socket 370

Vega C6941

DFI CA64SC

The most important characteristic for me is stability.

Any comments?

Thanks,

2x DVD drives (Ricoh and Creative)

2x IDE hard drives

Radeon 64mb DDR VIVO

Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 + Hoontech Bracket

Creative DXr 3 (for experiment only)

WinDVD 3

Power DVD 3

Win 98se

I second that, I'm also running and CUSL2 with PIII 866, 2 DVD drives (Toshiba and A-open), M-audio Delta 1010 soundcard, a Radeon 64VIVO and Windows ME with no problems at all. It's the most stable system I've ever had.

Golden, nice to see someone else in London with almost the same setup as myself, I promise I wasn't copying you! drop me a line sometime.
