hello,

i have three snell #550 passive subs the left and right are powered by a parasound 1500a amp 205 watts per channel the rear is hooked to a 1000a amp 110 watts per channel that is bridged to 300 mono,i also have a parasound avc2500 that has auto cal. mic that can set the input level and delay.should i run all three subs from the avc2500 and use the auto cal. mic or should i run the rear sub through my paradimg x50 sub controler so i can use the phase control?

thanks for your help

I'd put all three enclosures as close together as possible in the optimal location in your room. Try a corner nearest the key seats, preferably a corner with no adjacent openings nearby. You shouldn't need the phase control...if you want you could just switch *polarity* on the sub drivers to wire them 180 degree *out*. Just be sure to do all three the same way--if they are near one another. Also, be sure to turn the amps off before you do this(of course).

Have you considered using one of the subs for the rear channels? Then you could pick large for them and have discreet rear bass.I'm planning on doing this when I move to a bigger place...I'm not sure what's good in rear placement,as I have not done this, but I assume a rear corner...just a thought.
