I just got a new TV for christmas. I got a 46" Samsung LCD LN46A500T1F. I really do not know too much about LCDs since this was a gift and my first one ever. I just got Dish Network HD and it is currently hooked up with component cables. Waiting on HDMI to come in the mail. Anyways, we play our WII on it and watch TV, HD, and DVDs. Can anyone help me out with some calibration with the picture? thank you.

HDMI is the best hook-up. Get yourself a calibration DVD such as AVIA or DVE to properly adjust your display (viewing rooms are different, affecting the settings).

I think the title of your thread is confusing people. Changing some user settings and a calibration are not the same thing. So many people are misusing the term calibration that it has lost it's meaning. Go to the calibration forum and read up on what a calibration entails
