Hmm, for me, last time they shifted for baseball, KTVU FOX did air them
close to when they said they would (12 midnight to 2am) but they started
45 minutes late and I only padded John Doe by 30 minutes so I missed
the last 15. BTW the last John Doe that was shifted was episode
3/28/03 "Save As...John Doe" I believe FOX is the same for me on the
peninsula as you in SF.
I think the Friday just past 4/11 (which was also baseball night), there
either wasn't an episode of Fastlane and John Doe, or they were repeats,
because the schedule never mentioned any shifted time (for KTVU FOX)
and if they were repeats KTVU wouldn't be under any obligation to air the
shows at all.
Sometimes what ends up happening is FOX schedules John Doe, then
later changes it's mind and your replay doesn't pick up the change
in time. Once replay gets the schedule, it doesn't 're-download' those
dates until the day before. If the replay servers were acting up as
they sometimes do, your unit would still think John Doe is playing when
in fact, FOX rescheduled a movie in it's place, just your replay never got
the guide change.
This happened for me just last Monday with Miracles being cancelled and
The Practice repeat being shown in it's place. My recorded entry said
Miracles, but the actual content was The Practice.
