Sharp's 108-inch LB-1085 TFT LCD, the third-largest TV in the world, will be available in the United States in September.
The Full HD 1080p LCD has 6.21 million pixels for a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. The LB-1085 also features an array of inputs, including three HDMI, one DVI-I and 2 component connections.
It also has a contrast ratio of 1200:1, a 176-degree viewing angle and a response speed of 6ms.
The largest TV in the world is a 150-inch monster from Panasonic. The plasma has an 8.84 million pixel resolution and is the equivalent of 9 50-inch plasmas.
And touché to those who find one of these puppies for sale, never mind being able to afford it. The LB-1085 recently shipped in Japan with an ¥11 million price tag -- that's about $100,000 big ones here in the states.
