i was wondering if you guys could help me decide between these two projectors. Basically for the next three years there would be no HDTV (military in germany so not many choices) some games and movies and tv but thats about it. They both seem like good choices so im hoping someone out there can lean me one way or the other. Thanks

Why buy a native rate 720 PJ if you are not going to utilize it?? For what you are looking to do the IF5700 would do fine.

The Matterhorn 576P such as Infocus SP5700 are a better match for your PAL no HDTV situations. A 720P projector will have scaling artifacts with a 576P source - whereas the 576P is scanline perfect! As far as pixel density goes - it just means you have to go 20% smaller screen or sit back 20%.
