I had no idea that purchasing a new TV could be such a drama.

I have been doing quite a bit of research and am very interested in the Sharp LC-37D42U. I am rather confused as it seems to replace the LC-37D40U but I am not totally sure about this. Does anyone have any input concerning the 42U as opposed to the 40U model? The price of the 40U seems to be higher than the 42U which I cannot understand if it is an older model. Any feedback that anyone can give me about purchasing the Sharp LC-37D42U would be very helpful. Is there another LCD in that size range that you would recommend instead or any significant cons to the Sharp model? Is the 40U a better model than the 42U?

Purchased the 37d42u a couple of weeks ago. In my area the 37d40u was cheaper by a couple of hundred dollars and no longer available. The 37d42u replaces the 37d40u with an input for a pc. Nice HD picture and good SD picture.
