Sharp 60's: LC-60LE832U vs. LC60LE835U

Unfortunately, I have to replace a dying friend...my 64" Pioneer rear projection TV. I had pretty much made up my mind on the Sharp 60" LED, the LC-60LE832U at Costco. While 3D was a non-issue, the cost difference for the LC-60LE835U is almost negligible on Amazon. Should I care? I have to give up the easy return options and Costco extended warranty to go that route but it is tax free. The other wild card is the Panasonic 65" plasma at Costco.com the 65 TC-65PST34.

i am looking for thoughts/opinions/suggestions?

To me, size is the most important issue, I can fit up to 65", unfortunately 70" is too big.

Of course, price/value is a major concern as well.

On a related note, Costco now offers 3 more years warranty for $100. I typically shy away from these types of extended warranties but it seems like a pretty good deal. Thoughts?

Bump anyone have an opinion? I am trying to decide between the LC-60LE832U and the LC60LE835U. The 3D does not make a difference for me as I will not be using it. But out of those two which has the best 2D performance?
if you are looking into 2D performance or PQ, you may want to compare with samsung un60D6000. you may find spec comparison here, http://tv-compare.blogspot.com/2011/...c60le835u.html

Aside from the 3D capability the 835 has a strobing backlight to further smooth fast motion. Sharp calls this Aquamotion 240 and it can be disabled if the viewer thinks it adds soap opera effect. Chances are you'd never miss it if you didn't have it.

Given the extra convenience in being able to easily return the set, longer return period (90 days vs 30) warranty doubling at no extra cost and availability of that very inexpensive Squaretrade extended warranty I think the 832 from Costco is the better choice.

That being said, if your room lighting and viewing habits are right (no strong direct light shining on the screen and a normal mix of aspect ratios when watching tv) I'd be all over the Panny 65" ST34 plasma, especially if there are some seating positions significantly off center from the screen.
