So I also am starting to think about the 9000. However, I am going to be dropping it over a cabinet with an existing 4:3 rear projection TV (Pioneer Elite) that I will continue to use for DirecTivo viewing. In other words, I only am looking at the 9000 for HDTV and DVD. From most of the postings, I am favoring the GreyHawk...Which (finally) brings me to my question:
I have a center speaker already built into the cabinet which I would like the screen to drop in front of. The obvious solution is a GreyHawk screen with the THX MicroPerfs. However, I have read in other threads that the MicroPerfs and DLP don't mix due to the interaction of the "screen door" effect and the perfs. Has anybody seen (or is anyone running) this combination? Opinions on whether or not it would work?
