Good evening everyone!

There sure is a lot of talk about this new Sharp 9000 projector! Sounds nearly perfect.

Does anyone know how the projector performs in an average lit room? Obviously I'd want to use it with the lights out for theater, but there will be times that the room is used to watch TV or a video in more normal light.

If the Sharp is unsuitable for such a situation, can you recommend a good bright projector?

Also, I've heard that the Sharp may be too good for standard TV or video. That is, it is such a good projector that the source needs to be really good or the image will be real bad. Would a scaler fix this issue?

Thanks for the help, I am rather new to this HT thing.

So far what I found out is that if you have some light at the back of the room and firing downwards, the image is still acceptable. (The intensity of the light I am talking about is good enough for reading).
