While trying to feed a high def signal to my Sharp 9000 I think I've uncovered an Input 5 problem.

Using the passthrough of a 1280x720 NRS, I could not get a properly mapped image. Signal Info from the Sharp read 1280 x 1024, the image was stretched vertically and clipped at top and bottom. However, when switching that same signal to Inputs 1 or 2, I get an excellent high def image with Sharp's image Info reading 1080i. I'm not going to climb up and change leads when I switch between DVD and High Def so unless there's a fix or I'm doing something wrong, I won't be able to use my updated input 5 for my Faroudja output. I was under the impression that the revised Input 5 mapped the signal to the chip directly without processing. Isn't this so?

Is anyone out there running a high def signal through input 5 and if so, how?
