The sheet I received on this unit said 1.35:1. This makes no sense to me seeing as that is a single ratio and the Sharp has a zoom lens. Based on some preliminary calculations, the ratio seems to start at 1.815x the screen width. I didn't figure out the maximum throw. Feel free to send me an email and I can forward you the spec sheet that gives some calculations.

Thanks!

I e-mailed you the XV-Z9000u Throw Distance Chart. It has all the formulas to calculate throw distance for both 16:9 and 4:3 screens, plus maximum and minimum distances for standard size screens.

abigpicture provided the following on 8/8/01. He had the prototype in house for a while. Gladiator - does this match what you have? What's your source?

16:9 screen screen width 92 " throw MAx 18'11" Min 13'11"

from the xv-Z9000U throw distance chart here is the formula for your own calculations..16:9 screens

y1(Max) = (.05510x - 0.04593) X 3.28

y2(min) = (.04068x - 0.04369) X 3.28

x= screen Size (diag) (inches)

y= Projection distance (feet)

Jim-Those are the exact figures I have. My source was a dealer spec sheet provided by Sharp so I am assuming they are accurate.
