Sharp LC26DA5U DVI to HDMI Question.

337 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  sfhub
Since this TV only has an HDMI input, not a DVI input, would it have any problems if I connected my computer, with a DVI out, with a DVI to HDMI cable to the Sharp?

I think it would work, but I just want to make sure.

The HDMI only accepts AV video formats like 480p/720p/1080i. Also since it is intended as an AV port, the video will be overscanned. Other than that as long as you can send those video vormats from your video card, it will work.
What about the LC26GA5U and it's DVI connection? Would that have any problems with PC connectivity, and are there any other major differences (Mostly in picture quality) that I should know about in the two models?
Should be able to do 1360x768 on the DVI-equiped versions. Dot by Dot pixel mapping on the DVI port.
