Just a quick question for owners of the Sharp LC32LE700E. What is the maximum resolution you have run over hdmi from a computer source?

The panel is 1920x1080 so i (possibly wrongly) assumed that I could link up at that resolution.

The TV is on order now though, and I'm digging through the specification sheet and it show the maximum PC input over HDMI is:

SXGA+ 1,400 x 1,050 65.3 kHz 60 Hz

So much for running Bluray from the laptop or other HD material.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct? It does seem odd to me.

Cheers,

Yep, thats what I was reading, but then it says to go to page 38 for PC connectivity, and then, it doesn't list 1080p over HDMI as compatible.

It does seem very strange though, and I'm hoping it's just an error.

The only real way to tell is to try it.

If I get no hands on replies, I'll post my results once it arrives

Cheers,

The TV has absolutly no idea of where an HDMI signal is coming from.

The chart on page 38 only states what PC monitor standard resolution , such as VGA, SVGA etc, are available over HDMI it has nothing to do with what ATSC TV standard resolutions are available on HDMI which is what the resolutions on page 18.
