I recently purchased Sharp LCD model #LC52D65U. I have hooked it up with an HDMI cable and the HD is outstanding. However the standard defintion stations are horrible. Almost all channels have shadows and are fuzzy. Has anyone had a similar experience with standard def channels and does anyone know how to correct this problem. According to the store i purchased it from I cannot exchange or return this tv since it is 52 inches. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks

SD has always looked bad. It's going to be magnified because you're going to see every flaw with a HDTV. Add that to the fact that Sharp has an average scaler...

My advice would be to calibrate your TV with a BluRay like Digital Video Essentials for the best picture quality. You can start with these settings as a baseline.
