In December 2012 I purchased a 60" Sharp Aquos 3D HDTV Model LC60C8470U for $1,600. Picture looked good. In the past few months was watching only the Samsung UHD 60" 8550.

SAMSUNG: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IN2WIXY/ref=twister_B00PR12ZSC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Fired up this Sharp and the picture (which once looked good) does NOT look good. Spoiled by the Samsung UHD.
Is there a way to improve the Sharp picture ? Is there a digital receiver or other device which could be connected and make the picture closer to the quality of the 8550 ?
Would an upscaling Blu-ray player attached to this Sharp make a picture as great as the Samsung ?
Best way to calibrate this Sharp TV ? Is the Monster Calibration DVD sufficient ?
Maybe I should sell this Sharp used and get another Samsung UHD or SUHD. Hmmmmmm.
