Was wondering what DVD-Players are in use with this projector.

I was told that a YUV connection to the internal Civic scaler was good enough to make progressiv scan dvd-players obsolete.

Thanks

Dear Michael

Can the Panasonic only output a progressiv signal ??

Have you tried feeding the Sharp an interlaced YUV signal from the Pani ?

I was told the Sharp is better with a 480i signal compared to the 480p signal.

If you have time could you verify ....

Thanks

A friend of mine has it hooked up to an RP91 and also a Toshiba progressive player (not sure of the model).

I didn't get a chance to see it with the RP91 (it's brand new), but it works great with the Toshiba player, and my friend says that the RP91 is sharper - but not by much.

You can certainly set the Panasonic to output an interlaced signal with just a press of a front panel button. I have not tried this yet...it never occurred to me to try it. I have many DVD players to experiment around with in this house. If you have any ideas, let me know and I will give it a whirl.
